On July 9th, the New Moon occurs in the sign of Cancer, prompting a new beginning. This is a time for feeding our foundation — all of that which we call home, including the foundation we’ve built inside ourselves, needs to be tended to and honored.
It’s a time to recognize the importance of our family and our personal circle of friends and the
security, sense of belonging, and safety we derive from them. We have the wherewithal and courage to pursue our desires and stick with our plans, but we should avoid jumping the gun. This New Moon is widely opposite Pluto and harmonizes with Neptune. Venus is applying to a conjunction to Mars in Leo, and we’re feeling confident and ready to create, despite some feelings that others or our relationships are standing in our way.
On July 23rd, a Full Moon occurs in the sign of Aquarius, reminding us of our needs for friendship, community, as well as impartiality, and objectivity. We cannot lose sight of our larger goals and our need to give back to the community or group that supports us.
The Moon can feel a little stuck as it’s between Pluto and Saturn. Otherwise, it’s a period of discovering our need for others or for more community involvement.
On the 28th, retrograde Jupiter returns to the sign of Aquarius. Jupiter moved on from the sign when it entered Pisces on May 13th. However, Jupiter turned retrograde early in its transit of Pisces in June, and it’s now returning to finish up its transit of Aquarius until December 28th.
Jupiter in Aquarius encourages us to expand our minds, tolerance, and sense of fairness. We’re seeking social reform and positive, humanitarian action. We value freedom, individuality, fellowship, and group goals and visions.
